In just one week, a total of 67 pounds was lost. That’s a great start!!!!

For starters, how do you feel?

Do you feel good?
Do you feel like you did ‘all that you could have’ this past week?
Are you thinking about any ‘cheating’ you did throughout the week?
How does it feel to see your name on our list? Is it Motivating? Uplifting? Depressing?

Remember, it is ONLY THE FIRST WEEK!! We have a lo-o-o-o-o-o-o-ng way to go and One Weigh-In does NOT make-or-break the contest. (It’s kinda like being a Browns/Indians fan!)
Small steps.

Now, the more important questions:

What kind of goals did you reach this week?
Did you increase your speed on the elliptical or treadmill?
Did you increase your reps or weights on one of the machines?
Did you try a new machine you have never tried before?
Did you explore the internet for helpful websites re: caloric counting or recipe ideas?
Did you ask for help or advice from someone about getting fit?

Always try to look for the POSITIVES!! This will be crucial, especially when there comes the time(s) when you DO GAIN WEIGHT. I will say this time and time again: “Life Happens.” You are NOT on ‘the Ranch’ like the contestants of the television show. So please don’t expect big weight losses like you see every week on TV. You have job(s) to do. You have kids to attend to. You have spouses to attend to. (Well, I should say, “spouse” but I guess you could be on that polygamy show!) So BE REALISTIC with your expectations.

I am proud of ALL of you. You took the initiative to join the gym, join the contest and to Try Your Best. You ALL are Winners already in my eyes!!
